    Porn, soft or hard, sells. It’s very depressing that Rupert Murdoch has so successfully managed to it pass it off as “news.” But he has. Sadly, an awful lot of Americans — probably a majority — care more about the details of Anna Nicole’s death or Paris Hilton’s latest arrest than about missing WMDs, global warming, or CIA waterboarding — the kind of stuff that O’Reilly, Hannity, and the rest of Fox’s ilk likes to ignore.

    Give us a mild hard-on, call it “news” and we’re content.

    Honestly, PQS, don’t you think that (most unfortunately) in this day of sound bites, reality shows and instant celebrity we are all rotting our teeth on junk food disguised as real news, served up by all the major news networks. CNN, MSNBC, Fox and even local news are all guilty.

    I hate to say it, but so is the American public. If we weren’t buying it, they wouldn’t be selling it.

    LOL, how often do I switch on Larry King and see the dirtiest, low down scum of the earth on his show? Or, Nancy Grace and her obvious bias against ANYONE that doesn’t agree with her? She is obnoxious *I used to like her, until she got her own show*

    All networks are guilty of airing what sells… and while unfortunate, sex and the tabloid gossip is what sells the most! Introduce me to a guy (or gal) that would rather sit and talk about the GNP or the lack of funding for our nation’s starving children rather than sex or tabloid news, and I’ll engage in the former!

    Unfortunate, yes! But, it’s reality!

    I agree, Lyndee — sex and gossip and scandal are what sells. Shame on all of us.

    And just so everybody knows … I put this video up because it is just plain silliness … a like video could, of course, be put together re. to any news source. Including, I would bet, PBS. I am quite positive Fox doesn’t carry more “sex news” than CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, etc.
