Bad times for the country. When you feel just a lot of impotent rage, there’s nothing better than something loud and angry like Green Day to fit your mood. Give to the Democrat of your choice and hope for something better.

There is value to punk. By creating from outside the cultural mainstream, and because they reject the common assumptions of the culture, these artists are uniquely reisistant to information dominance. Free speech in art is vital.
